Jan Koniarek Gallery in Trnava in cooperation with the Zahorie Gallery in Senica prepared an exhibition of the works of art of a pottery-maker Miloš Balgavý at the occasion of his 85th anniversary in memoriam. The effort was crowned with the fact that the author, who is also known abroad, presented his independent retrospective collections to native audience only in his home in Zahorie and in Trnava, where he spent most of his life. After 14 years the artist enters by the presentation of his works of art into an open domestic scene by means of a retrospective view and moreover, accompanied by latest extensive monographic publication. The highest quality artifacts from every area of the authors’ rich and wide scope program narrowly filter the memories. His unfolded chords tirelessly passed on principal melodies of original creative impulses for forty-five years. There are utility and decorative provenience works of small, medium and large dimensions for both interior and exterior. In this program there is a permanent place for pottery designer’s creation and he converted many of these works of art of into mass prototypes. Wide scope of genres but predominantly ideological scope of Miloš Balgavý still reminds of his essential attitude modeled sculpturally - plotted, supported by the elegance of flowing pure lines, appropriate selection of surface finish and precise colouring. Creative invention and artistic dexterity of the pottery maker Miloš Balgavý thus embedded an unforgettable impression to our ceramic scene.
