Central European Art Festival
New art festival in Trnava
Jan Koniarek Gallery in Trnava as the main organiser prepared in autumn 2008 international project called Central European Art Festival in cooperation with other subjects. The main idea of festival is to bring intermedia communication and confrontation of contemporary art especially from Poland, Czech Republic, Austria, Hungary and Slovakia (mainly fine art, cinematography, music). It is also about strengthening the reputation of Trnava and Trnava region as a cultural environment not only with a rich historical and cultural tradition but also in the form of a strong and prosperous Euroregion promoting and deepening cooperation in a wider cultural space. The aim of event is to introduce actual culture of neighbouring and near countries from Central European cultural area to Slovak public and visitors of Trnava because their representation is minimal in current range of cultural spectrum.
