Barta Július

*23 November 1922 - †11 September 2008 Bratislava

Academic painter, deserving artist. He started at the Gymnasium in Nové Zámky (1935 – 1938), then at the Gymnasium in Esztergom (1938 – 1941) and graduated in Dunajská Streda. 
He studied at the Art School of Tibor Galle in Budapest (1941 – 1942), later at the Slovak Technical University in Bratislava (1949 – 1950, professors Mudroch, Mallý, Milly) and finally at the Academy of Fine Arts and Design in Bratislava 1950 – 1952, professor Mudroch). He participated on common and individual exhibitions at home and abroad. He devoted to chamber painting, utility graphic, illustration creation, exhibitions and realisation in architecture. In the year 1952 he became a member of the Association of Slovak Artists. In the year 1975 he won the Prize of Cyprián Majerník and in the year 1989 the State Prize of Deserving Artist.
