Studied at the Academy of Fine Arts and Design (1991 – 1998) in Bratislava by R. Sikora, at Ecole Nationale des Beaux Arts in Dijon and at Slippery Rock University in USA. He works as a pedagogue on the Faculty of Arts by Technical University in Košice since 2004. He is the author of numerous paintings, drawings, computer graphics, installations and paper 3D objects and photographs. He systematically treats one theme – inspired by childhood. He tries to create a new world – world full of “visual contradictions”. He likes to quote famous architectonic works which as a whole or fragments uses in new contexts. In 1999 Marko Blažo participated in collective action Slovak Art for Free of Venice Biennial. In 2001 he won the Oskár Čepan Award.
