Ladislav Čech entered artistic life in the fifties. His creative education was mainly influenced by professors of the Academy of Fine Arts and Design in Bratislava – Dezider Milly and Ján Mudroch as well as Bertalán Pór – professor at the Academy of Fine Arts in Budapest where Ladislav Čech studied one year. Beginnings of his creation are marked by realism, author devoted to still life, portrait creation and landscape painting. In this period oil painting dominates over other techniques. He created also in a field of graphic (mainly serigraphy) and collages. He also devoted to monumental proposal and realisation. Permanent place in his creation has theme of still life, bouquet and female figures.
