Ondák Roman

*1966 Žilina

He is one of the most significant representatives of neo-conceptual strategies. He belongs to the most significant artists of the last decade with his art attitude. In his visual creation he uses world reality – with her staging or contextual movements. Viewer is attracted by constant contradictory transfers of meanings to places where we usually expect something stereotypical. His works and installations reach out viewers the most intense precisely by this quality of variability. He was a scholar of DAAD in Berlin (2007 – 2008). His projects were presented on many individual exhibitions e.g. in Köln Kunstverein (2004), Tate Modern in London (2006), Pinakothek der Moderne in Munich (2007), Wattis Institute for Contemporary Arts in San Francisco (2008) a in Museum of Contemporary Arts in New York (2009).
