Bazovský Miloš Alexander

* 1899, Turany n. Váhom – † 1968, Trenčín

Significant Slovak artist, one of the main representatives of the Slovak painting and graphics of 20th century; one of the founders of Slovak modernism. He studied art in Budapest, in Prague and in a private painting school in Vienna. He was inspirited by folk art; characteristic is diagonal composition and asymmetric rhythmic of detail. He painted and drew people, still life, nature, village and urban environment. He tried to create a realistic portrayal of man and the world. Gallery in Trenčín is named after M. A. Bazovský; much of his work is represented and exhibited in collections.


In Koppel Villa Is CLOSED because of reinstallation of exhibition. We will open on January 30, 2020 at 6 PM.

Synagogue is CLOSED because of reinstallation of exhibition. We will open again 
on February 6, 2020 at 6pm.

The New wing of Koppel Villa will be closed from October 16, 2019 due to reconstruction of the building.

The exhibition Sculptor Ján Koniarek was closed.
