Educational Programmes
The educational programmes of the Ján Koniarek Gallery (GJK) are based on active engagement with art through creative practice, dialogue, and attentive exploration of the gallery environment. They provide participants with an authentic experience of encountering original works of art within an inspiring and welcoming setting. Through hands-on creative activities, participants—including school groups and other audiences—are encouraged to explore diverse artistic ideas, develop visual literacy and critical thinking, and experiment with both traditional and contemporary artistic techniques and materials.
The programmes are inspired not only by the Gallery's current exhibitions and collection but also by broader cultural, historical, and social contexts. They emphasise interdisciplinary connections, inclusive approaches, and the development of individual creativity and self-expression.
Educational activities are available for a wide range of age groups, educational institutions, and organised groups. The programme is regularly updated in line with the Gallery's exhibition schedule.
